Currently in 2008 we are celebrating 50 years of service for Wichita and surround areas.

Means Tree Service, Inc. was established in 1958 by Melvin T. Means. Mr. Means volunteered many hours to his chosen profession through his membership in various professionally related organizations, in addition to smoothly running his business. He realized that his clients were the most important aspect of his business and felt strongly about treating them fairly, honestly and with respect. Under his leadership, Means Tree Service grew to be a dependable, honest and quality oriented service company specailizing in the care of trees and shrubs.

In 1975, his son, John Means, began working within the company to learn the different aspects of the business. Along with the day to day business, John obtained his Arborist Certification, Pest Applicators License from the state of Kansas, and attended many conferences over the years. John has accumulated many seasons of experience and has an abundant knowledge of plant care.

With the retirement of Melvin in 1991, John became the owner of Means Tree Service, Inc. Under John's leadership, Means Tree Service, Inc. is committed to reviewing and implementing new ideas and techniques in order to better serve his clients and their tree needs.
